finding love, losing it and reuniting once again...
(free verse poem)

You are my first taste of ruin, like
galaxies gliding ever closer to destruction,
unable to resist the pull of passion's
black hole.

I felt the gentle sweep of wings,
with silken drops of gems falling upon
my cheek, I rest beside you,
tucked in and weary.

Sooner or later, we will never know,
my arms reach out,
only to feel the impression of your form,
dissapearing beside me.

I realized I had been asleep.

Somehow, I was able to borrow an angel,
to lay my burdens temporaily aside,
and lift my heavy shoulders.

One day you will go back to heaven's embrace,
leaving me behind in your fading afterglow.

Waiting at the gate,
until my time to go arrives.
I'll be coming home to you,
at the last destination of eternity's
dwelling.
