Aeolus' struggle with the darkness
this isnt one story its a few storys based on the same thing.

Demons of the Darkness---

The Demons of the Darkness always attacking the crippled kingdom. The king, Aeolus, managing to fend them off but each time it's gets more and more costly, and even closely to breeching the defenses and dragging the king naked king into the ravages of the world.

Due to many reasons he had no contact with the king Dante, Dante and Aeolus  had warded off the forces of the dark for years. but with the mutual defense lost the walls of the broken king where not enough to hold the tides of darkness at bay. With the realization of this the broken king retreated back to his mighty keep, leaving his walls to their fate in the Dark. After far too many years and one catastrophic breech caused by a traitorous king, Aeolus was driven into a paranoid madness. None where allowed in, none entered his keep. and yet, Aeolus's keep still stood.

Fall of the keep--

After the torment of the black had been fought off, yet again. Aeolus found some solace in a queen, as she approached the king's Keep he had a lapse in his frantic paranoia, and alowed her into his court. her presence was one not felt in the court for many years. unfourtunately Aeolus soon had her leave, but her radiance still lingered. then with new found strength Aeolus battled the Black in hope to regain his mighty walls, but it was in vain, he was halted. he irected a simple palisade to help ward off the Demons. however the forces of the Darkness swelled and crushed the palisade and crashed through the Keep gates, with the twisted monsters hacking at the door of Aeolus's throne room. the king prepaired himself for the anguish of Darkness. The one king that could possibly save him, Dante, came to Aeolus's aid. Dante's own scars from the darkness still healing, and Dante shown his light and restored the Keep back to Aeolus.

Petrus---

The traitorus creature, Petrus, Has found the grand keep Aeolus holds, yet again. However Aeolus knows his enemy this time and will not have a creature so twisted by the Darkness enter his keep, nor will he allow another breech of such magnitude that petrus caused before. Petrus nocks uppon the keep's great doors while Aeolus sits uppon his throne wondering 'how will I fare with one of the most powerful tools of the darkness standing on my door step.' Petrus is not a mere soldier of the darkness he is a powerful agent, one that has tasted evil and has gorged him self upon it, one that became a king of the darkness. Due to the Kingly guise of Petrus he walked past the outer battlements without question, he sits on the steps and there he must remain or all that has been won in the last months will be destroyed just as before.

Gods---

Aeolus stands upon the roof of his keep looking out and seeing all darkness except small beacons of light  that are little empires fending off evil just as Aeolus does. 'but how are their struggles different.' He thinks. 'Why are the creatures here so powerful or... Am i just a weak warlord unfit to rule my sad little hill.' Aeolus colapses to his knees an looks up into the night sky. 'In my hour of need you Gods fail me. I bleed to keep all that i have worked for safe and you just watch me twist under the strain. just laugh at my efforts, just sit and stare at my futile strategys... I yeild faith, you cannot exist!'

when. where.--

Aeolus stands upon his keep and watches as is ravaged kingdom is consumed by the darkness, all but his inner most stockades are consumed. the wounds of battle still new upon his flesh from the latest scrap with the powerful daemons of darkness. the new, and old, wounds make aeolus think 'will the scars of war make me unfit for a queen's comfort... if i am unable to draw aid from a queen? should i just kneel before the darkness and become a minion of what i have fought off for so long...?' the oil running low and a depressing amount of arrows in the barrels, the darkness is dwindling the armory to what can be forged out of the few luxuries still in the keep. there is now gold in the depths of his vaults but.. it means nothing in the dire circumstances.
