An attempt at artistic statement through words.
I wonder at the state of Man—
I hear his breath behind me

I wonder at the turning hands—
I hear his breath behind me

I see the Earth; I watch the stars—
I hear his breath behind me

I, too, wonder where past things are—
I hear his breath behind me

A mother’s son lost Mother’s hope—
I hear his breath behind me

The daughters fear at how to cope—
I hear his breath behind me

The circle moves; the clock runs down—
I hear his breath behind me

I hear his breath behind me

I wish it’d change, I once said—
I hear his breath behind me

That steady rhythm of his breath—
I hear his breath behind me

It whistles loudly, long and low—
I hear his breath behind me

It causes fear, it longs for more—
I hear his breath behind me

It’s undeserved, that sounding breath—
It messes with what peace is left

But I hear his breath behind me—
I hear his breath behind me.
