How can love be so cruel, but so good? The flower pedals never lie...
The flower whispers silently, "He loves you. He loves you not."
Will she know? You know she wants to.

She wishes on the stars she sees,
She picks the flowers secretly.
She hopes and dreams that one day soon,
He'll love her like she loves him, too.

She dreams about the day he'll find
Their hearts are meant to intertwine.
She picks a flower and pulls at the leaves.
She sings, "He loves me" and her heart bursts at the seams.

He loves her, he loves her not.
She'll never know, She'll always want to.

So silently she walks away,
Happy as can be.
Until she fin'lly understands
And floats back to reality.

In the quiet, it begins to rain.
SPLASH! A puddle like her melted heart.
The love SPLASH! she will never gain
Aches at her, a throbbing pain.

He loves her, he loves her not.
She'll never know, she'll always want to.

The freezing rain, it turns to rocks,
Falling to her feet.
The rocks go flying, seeming to gawk
At her heart, a slowing beat.

She hopes that they will still be friends
Though the love they will never share
Will stay inside her until the end,
But the love forsaken, he doesn't care

For her
The way she always cared... For him.

He loves her, he loves her not.
Soon she will know
He loves her a lot.
