I wrote this a few tyears ago, when I was 14.
Take a breath to prepare myself
For what will come my way,
I can’t cope!
                  So I shelve my thoughts
I shelve them all away.
I return to my distraction,
                                        My adaptation,
                                                                  My refraction.

Take all this away,
                              Take it away,
                                                    Make it all okay,
Facsimile me!
                      Without the troubles beneath,
Without the sword beneath the sheath.

Is this my death?
Is my death my shibboleth?
“Lead me not unto temptation”…
                                                      Or,
Is this my redemption?
