A poem by me.
If I was a song,
My tune would always change.
As instruments collide with words,
The noise would seem so strange.
But close your eyes and listen,
And soon you’ll start to hear,
That this ever-changing melody
Is more than meets the ear.

If I was a painting,
My strokes would twist and turn.
My frame would be a threshold
For the door to other worlds.
My colors rich in darkness,
My contrast day and night,
You look beneath the paint
And see there’s more to it than sight.

If I was a story,
My tale would tell a lie.
You’d have to read in darkness
To see the reason why.
Look beneath the letters,
Look beneath the words.
And find an ever-changing mystery
That comes from other worlds.
