Pitting natural rivals must end somewhere, right?
I’ve never been anything anywhere
And as much as I would like,
I feel unseen and simply unseeable
Never within radar or limelight.

Yet, somehow I covet seclusion
Fair, familiar, and safe.
To owe nothing to no one nowhere
And fail only before my own face.

So, I pit hunger to fear
And still unjustly so
I scream from within my own violence
My fiercely formidable foe.

Angst among anguish
And purely pleasureless pain
I can see why I’m stagnant and silent
Afraid I’ll die while insane.

But huge pressure is pushing
It’s soon to ooze out
You can pray for the victor
But I have faith without doubt.
