Introspective poetry
Twisted and churning,
Useless thoughts spinning,
Caught between acceptance and doubt.

Under it all,
Stark, glaring truth,
Arrogance and pride
Mask judgment and disdain.

"What fool am I to pretend I don't care what you think?
I care more than I think I should.
In truth I'd rather you tell me what to do.
Show me the way!
Lord knows, I'll never find it on my own.
Or, if by some fluke I did stumble in the right direction
I might not even notice,
Unless you tell me it is so!"

Inner dialogue.
Mind-trapped poison.
Insanity incarnate.
