Emotional, as most everything I write. just don't do anything stupid after reading please.
Was it true
when you look at it
that we were through
from beginning to end
was it true that we could have been
as everyone had seen
together, a pair
Or was that a falsehood
allegations on the ever turbulent air
was there truth amongst the mist
the haziness of a hearts afair
Possibly opposites on a single tree
the branch next to yours, not me
the green leaf that faces the truth of it all
and once coming to conclusion was knocked to its fall
the descent so revealing that it could not hide
any truth or failing by being at your side
the pain to uncover as the ground grew larger
coming closer to that ever growing wager
to bet ones heart on a card dealt by fate
leading to nothing but softened hate
leading to the desire to find the edge
so silver and sharp to make a pledge
a pledge to dig deep till red shines through
as the hill gets to steep to see down into
when your face is held too far down to ever look up
is when your wrist is prime to be cut
