To find ones destiny one might have to be in a horrible position.
Door #5
Words: 214

There were five doors at the end of the hall and I was being stalked by a mad-man! I took door number one. That didn’t work out, and the man had a knife now! Door number two. Another unsuccessful attempt. The man was running after me. Doors three and four horrible choices. I took a sharp urn and ran into the fifth door.

There were desks everywhere! With starter learn-to-print books on them. It was a classroom for first graders! Books for the little readers lined the shelves. A grade book, with my name on it, sat neatly on the teacher’s desk. My desk.

Written in my neat print, on the chalkboard, was: “Welcome to First Grade! My Name is Miss. Gilmore.”

I took a minute and stood in front of the room, behind the desk. Then there was an awful banging sound on the door from which I had come.

The door flung open! The mad-man was standing in the threshold. Hold the knife like he was going to stab me in the chest.

All of a sudden thunder clapped overhead. I woke up with a start and I realized that the nightmare of the mad-man stalker had told me my destiny. My destiny was to be a teacher.
