A poem I wrote for my husband.
...But the nervousnessran through my veins.
My mama's tearsfell like rain.
Daddy was walking by my side,
matching my every stride.
He held me tight
as I was dressed in white.

I grabbed your hand
You were and still are my man.
The preacher started talking
while my stomach continued flopping.
Your kiss was soft and light,
while I was dressed in white.

Tweleve years later we're still going strong.
Hardly anything wrong
happened between us. It's alright.
You hold me tight
as we sleep tonight
dreaming about how right
it felt, when I was dressed in white.
