A poem about love.
"A Taste of the Real World"

Refined to the same town her entire life
She finally got a taste of the real world
It came to her in the form of a man
She fell in love with him
He loved her
But he was not in love with her
She laughed
She cried
She screamed
She yelled
She threw things across the room
And then he left
And she was alone again
With just herself and her thoughts
It was a painful silence,
Terribly lonely
Her taste of the real world
Sour in her mouth
