THIS IS A STATIC ARTICULE BASED ON INVESTIGATION BY ING. RIGOBERTO VASQUEZ BERRELLEZA.
If our universe is in constant movement and all living creatures who live in it are aware of this situation, it is difficult and unlikely to conceive the idea that the static state in which all static objects are submitted to, act upon them forces that disrupt the harmony of the balance.
We are aware that movement exists since we intuitively provoke it when we walk, drive a car, when we see objects that fly, rotate, slide, and so on. We are confident that movement exists when we see the wind move the leaves of the trees; we even see it when time passes by, even though this is not a tangible object.
We know that we are a part of this time-space dynamic, each individual is not a part of a static world, even the blood flow provokes barely noticeable movements, so: how is “static” possible? This is difficult to understand and hard to conceive, and it is even more difficult to find out what causes static state.
When a student travels through science and enters the universe of physics, he finds himself surrounded by theorems, hypothesis, tangents, sines, laws and other type of knowledge which is part of his daily life, knowledge like colored visual transformations, listening to sounds, the feeling of heat or coldness, having perception of chaos and the universe; and when the student begins to observe (which in many cases is hard to do) that static objects exist and that they are ruled by the static law, he starts blocking ideas, his world and intuition slowly tumble down, he has difficulties to accept immobility and begins to reject this law.
Although we accept that all objects must be static in order to start moving, how can we make a student see that the balance of solid objects must be understand in all their universality. Balance has an effect in all objects, including the elemental portions of itself and if we start from this concept, the objectives would be to obtain the efforts and forces that decide the election of the material, the dimensions that it should have and the limits by means of the analysis of the materials. The study of balance should and must be the starting point within any area of mechanic engineering.
