Its not over yet!!
The Grand Ship
pt3

The Grand Ship sleeps at the bottom of the sea
Its soul is fierce and wild and strong, and anything but free
It longs for him, Our Elexander, who now lies on darker shores
But do not be fooled to think he slumbers, for his spirit is also sore
For without his ship he can not sail to the depths of those who live no more

But behold the valiant Mercury who’s sworn to end this pain and strife
He plunges the dagger in his own heart to dive into the afterlife
I search for Elexander with his gossamer wings proudly unfurled
But across the threshold of Night and the Real on a midnight train with her lips in a curl
Our Elexander has stumbled across the lonely and exiled runaway girl

She sees his ghost as if he lives but does not scream or shutter
And he clings to her, for years it seems he’s been seen by no other
He tells his tale, she listens well, but still does not believe
To her it feels just like a dream she’s having on this midnight eve
But the train stops, and she discovers it’s more real than it may seem

For Mercury had reunited with the Grand Indifference’s soul
The ship had perished long before its captain’s life had paid its toll
It took after its owner with great wings to take them to the sky
And the runaway, Marie, had always dreamed about the chance to fly
But never had she knew she would, and in ecstasy they flew so high
Above the clouds and stars and night,
To touch the cold of the moon’s white light,
Then off to the east to end Kimberly’s plight
