writers cramp entry using a stick of gum, a volleybal, 3 gerbils and sunglasses

With a pair of sunglasses on my head,
and a volleyball in my arms,
I went on my way, I marched ahead.

It would prove to be a funny day,
an unexpected one for sure,
this particular afternoon in the middle of May.

With a pair of sunglasses on my head,
and a cold drink in my bag,
I continued my way, and marched ahead.

Unexpectedly, to say the least,
I ran into a gerbil on the road.
In addition to it all, his shirt was creased.

With a pair of sunglasses on my head,
And a gerbil by my side,
I continued my way, and marched ahead.

Expectedly so, you have made it clear,
a gerbil in a shirt,
is not what you expected to hear.

With a pair of sunglasses on my head,
And your doubts in my ears,
I continued my way, and marched ahead.

My companion called out to some friends.
Two more gerbils to be sure,
waiting for us, neatly perched on a fence.

With a pair of sunglasses on my head,
and a stick of gum in my mouth,
I watched the gerbils play, until the sky turned red.
