a mind is a terrible thing to waste
Now there is room to rent upstairs,
off to college my girl has gone.
She packed her books and teddy bears;
it was time for her to move on.

My endless round of errands done,
nix endless lists of things to do.
My time is free to follow fun,
my mind is free to wander to...

forgotten goals of my life span.
But my thoughts are empty and dry;
can't remember a single plan;
dreams to pursue or things to try.

I could be Artist redefined -
creative, without cause or cares,
but sit still with a vacant mind.
So, there is room to rent upstairs.
