A poem I worte one day about a friend I have never met.
Thinking of a boy,
So far away,
In every way.
I want to be there,
By his side,
To sit and watch the tide.
Californian beaches,
Make the perfect scene,
To a troubled teen…
I want to be there,
By his side,
To sit and watch the tide.
I want to help,
Be a friend who knows,
And be with him when he goes.
I want to be a pedestal,
To hold him steady,
Until he’s ready.
I think of the boy,
So far away,
In every way,
Whose company I seek,
When things go wrong…

I want to be there,

To sit and watch the tide.
