This poetry is about Harry Potter's friend and father's best friend, Lupin
Lupin's secret

Nobody knows his secret,
he kept well as a keeper,
no one knows better but him,
as he only knows the hint,
he's a special person.

How special is he?
he asked Harry,
By his expression like the
way he look at his son,
he dwell with a smile.

Will you believe it's dad?
he asked again,
Harry looked at his sad
face, and dad gaze,
he nodded then embrace.

It's switching spell...
he then said, he dreams this,
he look from distance,
looked at Harry, how much
he miss him, but he let him go.

Real Lupin ask me to switch...
Will you believe me?
Lupin longing to ask Harry,
seeing him happy,
Unknown secret fade away...

Nobody knows... it's in Lupin's memorial.

A/N:

It's not difficult to understand.

Check out the lines:

'Harry looked at his sad
face, and dad gaze,'

This two lines mean Dad's spirit live in Lupin and Lupin imagine if James is ghost he rather be James possessed him. Everything in Lupin's thought is surreal but non-existent.

'It's switching spell...
he then said, he dreams this,'

I know this poem is horribly difficult for fans to understand, but I like to emphasize everything is in Lupin's head and he roleplay a fake father. He imagine what's James' reaction when seeing his son.

'Real Lupin ask me to switch...
Will you believe me?'

What this mean is Lupin no longer roleplay father but pretend to cover up.

To sum up everything in the poem: when Lupin die, memory of James still lives. Harry Potter saw the memory of his father. Mystery can't be explain with a reason of Department of Mystery exist. The third realm isn't for anyone to understand and believe. The ghost of Lupin have this thought which relieve in poem that expressing he believe James have many things to say if he's alive to talk with Harry Potter. Switching spell is to represent Lupin's false hope 'he dreams this', 'unknown secret' is it's references.

The poem itself focus on James' thought when Lupin thought of him on the day he see Harry Potter stay back in the classroom. It was narrated from spiritual mind that Lupin 'talk' with James.
