For my mom.
Still a work in progress, feedback always helps!

You let me down, which tore my heart in two.
You had vanished, somehow lost your point of view.
You should've known how much I still needed you.

You were my world, the one who gave me life.
You followed your heart, but it only brought you strife.
You must have known seeing you this way cut me like a knife.

I reasoned with your anger, there was just too much pain.
I saw you slowly fading, your reality became a strain.
I knew you imagined fleeing would somehow elicit gain.

I sensed your fear, watched it obstructing your relief.
I tried to be your shoulder, to shield you from your grief.
I witnessed this paranoid state rob you like a thief.

You denied there was a problem, convinced the world was wrong.
You were fighting for your life, but the battle seemed too long.
You needed understanding and someone there to be strong.
(or)
You had lost all inclination and the will to remain strong.

You cried out for support, but your tears unjustly heard.
You wished not to be treated, you thought it was absurd.
You were still in shock grasping how this mess occured.

I knew you needed help, I was torn between both sides.
I understood the severity, I

You ruined my plans, taking my childhood with you that day.
You called a couple times, but there was nothing I could say.
You didn't know you'd crushed my dreams in your crazy selfish way.

The years went by, the tears rolled on,

never knowing where or why you were gone.

But, I forgive you, I try to understand.
I thank god you are safe,
I'm so sorry for your pain,
I hope you can find happiness again,
I hope you dont feel alone,
I hope you know Im here for you,
I hope you can find peace,
I pray that you ask god for forgiveness,
I need you to forgive yourself,
I hope your heart has not turned cold,
I hope that you still love me,
I hope you know how much I love you.
