We aren't that different in that we all have rules. not the same of course, but strech your imaganations a bit for me. we have a lot of rules. As do you. but the main two.... Rule.1 Never drink a dead persons blood. Rule.2 Do not have any speical emotions for humans and we followed those .ever decade or two some one would dye from drinking someones blood that they thought were sleeping.but rule number 2..well that wasnt tampered with. I was walking though the woods.i had on white dress that just coverd my knees. i had a white sun umbrella that i swung around. My name is May. I am 14 years old . i lived with a nixie. ....heres a breff discripetion of the kind Nixies are guardians of ponds and small fresh water pools.Nixies are anfibious and, unlike mermads havelegs rather than a tail. I have to keep a close watch on her cause last time i was gone for a day or two ,i was greeted with a drownded courpse.She hadnt relized that humans have small weak lungs that dont push the water outwhen held under the water for long periods of times. I sighed. i had to go to town.I hated going to town. people always stared at me. i had pale skin and a tallish willowie figure.But they were probably staring 'cause of my long white hair.BESIDES THE POINT. i had to go into town to get some dirt (dont ask i don't know why )and what ever food to keep me alive. It was a big town with a huge highschool. i didnt go there and i was better witted then most of those humans.I guess it was three o'clock cause most of them smacked into the doors and then ran out like there was a fire in the school.Then when the rest of them slowly walked out. it was like they had never seen anything acsept the walls in side the school.Ug.they were staring. "yes" "Yes, please, stare at me while i walk by" i thought sarcassticly. I averted my eyes looking for the huge clock tower that lomed over the town. I wond- someone smakcked into me and i fell on my back. I quickly stood up and then regreted it .I held my head in my hands. i heard a boys voice"Ah!!! oh ah, um a-are you okay? i wasant looking where i was going and then well i kinda smashed into you nad know ..well here we are" he gave a weak smile. i gave a small chuckle and acsepted his hand. i brushed off the dirt on my and placed the metal of the umbrella on my shoulder."um,i am really sorry" he started. i cut him off " naw its fine. I wasnt looking where i was going either" he smiled and then continued"but i could make it up to you. Do you want to go grab something to munch on?" he waited for me to answer.i thought about it. he didnt seem that bad it wouldnt kill me to hang out with him for a while and, free food ! "sure i'd be fine with that" i smoothed out my dress.he prossessed the information and the told me he was going to call hometo let them know he was staying out a bit later. when he finished he asked me if i need to tell my parents. i told him no need.Nix wouldnt mind. "Nix?"he said puzzled i laughed. " Nix. its my...guardian? is that right? yeah i think so." i mumbled the last part to mt self. he look a bit less confused. then shook his head. "so where do you wanna go to? I hear that Coozies has rasberry pies in the oven." "never been there, i dont come into towm that much" i explained "oh! where do you live?" He asked leading me down the street "i live just out of town" tecnacly i wasn't lying.i dont consider the forest town, i think town end where the forest begins.we arived in front of coozies and he marched in and sang out 'im home' i laughed "you live here?" "basicly... " he gave me an evil grin and took a table "that reminds me!" he started "i dont know your name!" he said and started playing with a quarter "May." i said with full confedence and held out my hand "nice to meet you -?" i replied "Leo " he said and held out his wrong hand . i laughed and attempted to shake his hand. He was cute u guess, he had borwn hair, it wasn't shaggy, but it wasn't trimmed short either, he was taller than i was, and had a willowy figure. a pretty waitress our age walked up behind leo and kissed him on the check .he yelped and jumped across the seat and cowarded against the window.I stared.then she noticed me for the "first"time...i didnt like her ,she did that to get on my nerves. OH MY GOSH! no no she is fine she can have him sides im not alowed and i would never fall for such a rediculuce race . i almost spit. "Hya" i said to the waitres "O-oh, um yeah! hi... i didnt realize my kitty had brought another pet over" and with that she left. and i sat there looking stupified "is she gone?" a cracking whisper came form the booth arcoss from me. "... yyessss" i said a bit peved did he do thjis every week or so to pick up girls??? "feeew!! gosh i can't stand her! shes always tell'in me were gonna get married ONE TIME .just once. i had a girlfriend. and she found out. and... well i wont go into the details but it wasnt pretty... yeha i've been single ever since.."...he looked out the window. i flicked his quarter at him "dontcha worry "kitty" the right one will come along" i said and smirked evilie he winched and held up the menu in front of his face in mock fear. "SO what would you like my highness?" he said preforming an acward bow in his seat i held my head up high and said "what ever the cheif thinks will go" he chuckled and went up to the conter to order. (well then whats the point of the waitresses?) oh well silly humans. i looked at the bleached napkins in discust its bad enough that hey clean them selves with trees. but adding chemacail to it so it was white was just disturbing.i shuttered. Leo returned with a rasberry pie "oh wow! you got the WHOLE thing!" "you beatcha!' he said and sat own and handed me a spoon. i grinned and about an hour later. the pie tin was emty i was stuffed and had my first human friend. i smiled at the thought and then saw it was gwtting dark. "shit" i muttered not quiet enough because leo looked up with consern and asked what "i.. erm curfew?" i suttered well what was i suppost to tell him? oh sorry i need to go and not be in contact with you when its dark out or esle i will suck your blood. yeah i can see him takeing THAT well. "oh, weelll yeah me to. can i walk u home? or half way or something?"he offered i thought about it i really did. it wasnt time for me to get the thirst but it was just coming on so thgere where no guarentes. "pleaaseee i have to make sure the p;ie theifs dont getcha" he said with accual serious in his voice but i knew he was joking. "i guess it wondent hurt, just half way ,right?" thats all he need he was up and waiting for me holding my closed umbrealla. i smiled and skooted out of the booth he left a tip and opened the door for me. "Thank you" i said curtcing he bowed |
