Another poem that im working on
When you see her you can tell her days
Merely a girl who is new to nineteen
But when she speaks you marvel over her in a haze
Overwhelmed by curiosity to what she must have seen
When you look you can see it in her eyes
Intertwined deep down in the depths of her soul
You don’t know how or why but you know she’s wise
When she looks at you, you feel somehow whole
You find yourself looking at her and are shocked
How can someone so young be so old?
And her eyes show everything she has locked
Reaching out you bring her in close to hold
As you whisper in her ear ‘the hurt and pain are done’
She grabs on tight as a tear runs down her cheek
Never did she think she could again see the sun
He wiped off a tear from her eye and she began to speak
I have been through many things in my days
Things people should never have to go through
Even though I am young I have found my ways
And today I found what will bring me back up and that what is you
