ritten out of boredom...
With no one else, she stood alone
In her heart’s darkness, nothing shone
She wanted to hear, to see to feel
Something other and warmer than steel

She envied the birds that flew so free
On the sky that she could only see
Pitied the trees planted on the clay
Forever, planted they would stay

She wanted to be, but knew could not
Once or twice, she gave it a shot
But sadly, all her efforts were in vain
She ended up feeling stabbed and slain

She wondered if this was her fate
She thought What if it is too late
To find my path, to find my way?
Will my night ever have its day?

Bu then, a light shone from the darkness
A light that wiped away all the coldness
She wanted to know, she must to find out
All about the warm little light, no doubt

Her hand reached out and tried to touch
But felt there was nothing to clutch
Her hand passed through, as if there was nothing
But her heart knew there was something

She came up close and embraced it
Accepted its warmth as it lit
Never has she seen anything so bright
And somehow, everything felt just right

She felt contented, happy at last
As she let go of her horrible past
Everything glowed and shone like the sun
Finally, the darkness has gone
