Despite its name, this is not a happy poem.
Laughter

The laughter in my head,
scorns my every move.
Tells me there's no point,
And tosses out my every idea.
Lifts through the clouded veils,
I'm addicted to that cackle.
And the shit eating grin,
That says "I'm better than you".
Every dismissive gesture,
The back that's turned on me,
The laughter in my head,
Is you.
