written at a trying time in my life
Jesus
I wasn't there,
When they nailed him to the tree.
I didn't see the blood,
Run down his face.
I was blind to the truth,
It took a long time for me to see.
Jesus loved us,
He died for you and me.
Then I saw the crown of thorns,
They placed upon his head
I watched him die on the cross,
They said he was dead.
My eyes were opened,
I saw the tears.
Run down his momma's face.
I'm sure he told his momma,
I'll meet you at
At my fathers place.
