things my friend reminds me of
You remind me of everything I wanted.
The memories we shared,
The secrets I bared,
The fear of leaving was overwhelming.

You remind me of everything I had.
The fun we had,
The laughs we laughed,
The love of life was relaxing.

You remind me of everything I lost.
The goodbyes to loved ones,
The farewells to friends,
The fear of losing you again.

You remind me of everything I hated.
The anger that burned,
The fire inside,
The need to cause pain in others.

You remind me of the best,
You remind me of the worst,
You remind me of life.
