I emulated Anne Bradstreet for my lit class
If ever the world could be so cold
If ever there was no one to hold
Thy beauty soothes my inner ear
Calms me down, wipes my tear
Without thee, I cannot breathe
Your melodies lead my pain to sheathe
A ray of light begins to play
Dances around my world today
I turn to thee as I need peace
A place for words to be released
I thank thee for thy time with me
Nevermore, will I want to plea.
