poem about a revelation or an epiphany that has to be kept a secret
looking through everything
as if looking through glass
gazing so far away
to a time yet to pass

reaching for everything
as if reaching for stars
moving so fast that i've
opened up all my scars

i looked around to see
all that i'll ever be
can only be achieved
if i let go of me

so i open my hand
let my heart fall slowly
left my spirit soaring
set my mind flying free

this is the only way
risks that i have to take
will be worth the vision
the world that i can make

finding what i have missed
as if finding treasure
keeping this secret is
overwhelming pressure

hearing what i have heard
the voice through the silence
something i never thought
i'd find in my essence

must not let anyone
know just what i possess
this is one mortal sin
i never will confess

for if everybody
knew of what i had learned
the world would be chaos
our souls would all be burned

this is the only way
risks that i have to take
will be worth the vision
the world that i can make
