The Principle of Reciprocation
its better to give than to receive
we should always lend a helping hand.
Not to those who are "less fortunate".
To those who are in need.
These are complete polar opposites.
We are all in need, but not all "less fortunate"
Yet its tough watching the same people receive time after time,
receiving from the same people who do nothing but give.
You'd think morals or common courtesy should play a key role in this situation.
This is not some reality tv show, where morals are always present, and common courtesy stands behind every corner.
This is life. where morals are faked, if present at all.
Where common courtesy only exists in those who wish to express it.
An eye for an eye, a tit for a tat.
Eveyones caught up on keeping track of who owes what.
During the hardships others encounter, we do our best to come to their rescue.
Because it's in the givers human nature to do so, free of charge.
But after time of lending a helping hand yet receiving nothing,
the scoreboard begins to get a little one sided.
But numbers mean nothing in this in the end.
The principle does.
The principle that should i help you, one day, any day, you may return that favour.
The ball was in our court when you needed us the most.
And we pulled through. And passed it over to you.
And here i am waiting for that give and go phenomenom.
waiting....
still waiting...
time is up.
Game over.
The principle still stands.
My help for you does not.
