New poem after months of not writing. About a friend. Lemme know if it needs corrections.
Just a friend
Through their eyes
There's no chance
This one fact, I dispise.

They're my life
My only thought
This causes such pain
Almost like being shot.

To hold their hand,
To keep them close,
These pointless desires
Leave feelings of overdose.

I love them with such passion
Perfection in all ways
Those priceless times with them
Keep me in a daze.

A "happily ever after"
Is that worth this pain?
Or will I again be hurt?
My heart will never be lit.

Don't know what will happen
I'll just wait for the dream
For my fairy tale fantasy
It's not as bad as it seems.

In the end, I may get them.
It's too soon to guess
I doubt I will have them.
So I'm scared, I must confess.

I'm just the best friend
Through their eyes
And in the end
They'll hear my cries.
