What motivates nature?
Nature Never Hastens

If I rake faster, I will move
more leaves today.
Yet leaves fall one by one,
and before long the fall is done.

With a rebroadcast, more flowers
will grow in the spring.
But birds fly around all day,
dropping seeds along their way.

If I try harder, I will cross
more off the list today.
But trees grow and do not try,
and before long, they scratch the sky.

With a simulcast, more people
will keep time as they sing.
Yet birds sing one chirp at a time,
caring not about rhythm or rhyme.

Patient being is nature’s way.
Us? We want it all today.
