My take on an old topic.
*Inspired by the short story "On seeing the 100% perfect girl one beautiful April morning" by Haruki Murakami and the song "Triptych Pt.1" by Blockhead

I have not found what I have been looking for.
Under the squalid tempest of turpentine stars.

She walks in the light of day but I am blind.
She is but a silhouette that glides though the asphalt floor.

And I do not see her.
And I have not found her.
The 100% perfect girl.

Across the room filled with trampled hands and feet
She sits.
Alone.
Waiting.
For me.

And I am still searching for her.
That 100% perfect girl for me.

The music by cavelight slowly dims to eternity.
And she does not see me.

She has not found what she has been looking for.
Under the tempest and turpentine

I sit in hope but she is blind
I am but a shadow whisking through the walls of imagination.

And she does not see me.
And she has not found me.
The 100% perfect boy.

Across the room filled with indecent squabbles
I sit.
Alone.
Waiting.
For her

And the cavelight dims to eternity.
And the scene fades out.
We have not found what we are looking for.
