A woman dreams about her husband's death and later finds out a terrible secret.
*Author's Note* This was originally going to be submitted in a contest but after many revisions, I couldn't get the word count down to 500. So here is the shortest, final version for your reading pleasure. I am considering fleshing it out some more if enough people find what I already have interesting. So leave me some reviews and let me know.

Terri was just getting home from work. She walked through the door and could hear arguing coming from upstairs. It sounded like a woman, and her husband, John.
Terri placed her keys and purse on the table next to the door and ascended the stairs. She got to the top of the stairs and realized that the argument was coming from the bedroom. Why the hell was there a woman in her bedroom!? She maneuvered quickly to the bedroom door and cracked it open. At least that was her intention. No sooner had she put her hand on the doorknob than the door flew wildly open.
John was standing in the middle of the room across from something… It looked like a three-dimensional silhouette. It was as if someone had fallen into a vat of black paint and been covered from head to toe.
They seemed not to notice Terri. They were no longer yelling however. The shadowy figure had drawn a gun and was aiming it at John. Her husband shrunk, and pleaded.
“Now honey, there’s no need for that. Lets just calm down and ta…”
         BANG! BANG!
Two bullets slammed into John’s chest.
         BANG!
         And one into his groin.
Terri was screaming. The figure turned to her. It placed the gun underneath it’s chin, and…

Terri bolted upright in her chair, sweating. She was in her cubicle at work, and there was the shadowy figure directly in front of her. Her heart stopped.
         “Hey Terri, you in here?”
The voice had come from Terri’s friend, Angela, as she walked into the cubicle. The figure turned and dissipated towards Angela. Terri let out a surprised yelp.
         “Are you ok?” Angela asked.
         “Didn’t you see that?”
         “See what?”
“The…thing. It was right in front of you!” Terri pleaded.
“Wha… No. Look, I need to talk to you.”
         “But…” Terri objected.
“No. Just listen. You have trusted me for a long time, and I have betrayed that trust. This isn’t easy for me to admit… John and I have been sleeping together.” Angela spat out.
Terri stared at her. Had she heard right? Her husband of fifteen years and her friend of twenty two were having an affair? Terri grabbed her purse and stormed out.
“Terri wait!” Angela yelled after her, but she was already gone.

Terri wasn’t supposed to be home for another two hours. John would be surprised. She would see to that. She left the car running and ran into the house. Terri knew what was coming next. She went quickly to John’s study and pulled the .45 out of his desk drawer. It was fully loaded like always.
Terri stuffed it in the inside of her overcoat as she stormed up the stairs to the bedroom. She already knew he was there.
“You bastard.” She proclaimed in a low growl as she entered the bedroom.
“Terri! What are you doing home early?” John asked, surprised. He met her in the middle of the room.
“How long have you been screwing Angela!?” Terri screamed.
John had the look of someone whose plane is crashing. “Terri calm down.”
“NO! I will NOT calm down! How long you limp dick bitch!?”
John snapped. “Don’t judge me! Your job is your life! What do you want me to do!?” John was now screaming himself.
“To die.” Terri smirked, as she pulled the .45 out.
John visibly shrunk. “Now honey, there’s no need for that. Lets just calm down and ta…”
         BANG! BANG!
Terri pulled the trigger. Two bullets slammed into John’s chest.
         BANG!
         And one into his groin.
John fell to the floor, dead.
A tear rolled down Terri’s face. She turned away from her husband and placed the gun under her chin and… There was only darkness.
