A football game inspired this short story.
                                                 Small Problems
I watched the Washington Redskins defeat the Dallas Cowboys. None of the football prognosticators predicted the victory; No one thought a team led by a first year coach could beat a veteran play off team, but hard work, discipline, and determination made the victory possible.

I like to watch games on television. Hard work, discipline, and determination don’t always make the difference in life. I know they never overcame my obstacles and made my dreams come true, but when I see them make a difference in a game, I feel encouraged

If hard work, discipline, and determination could always make a difference in our lives, we’d be as gods, but we’re not God. We sometimes need to learn that.

We too often act as if the world spins around us and we’re the center of everything. Sometimes, we need to realize that God is the center of everything and He’s in control. It we did that, our financial woes and other problems would seem small. When I remind myself that God is in control, I know my problems seem small.
