Faith of the fallen

The local music scene has been overflowing with new bands working tremendously hard to get their name out to listeners. One band, known by the name ‘Faith of the Fallen‘, seems to be working just as hard in order to get a jump start on their future careers. The band from New Smyrna Beach consists of five male musicians determined to make their way to the top. But what makes this band different from any other? Bass player for FOTF, David Puls, 17, tells how the band is unique. “We don’t play just one kind of music. We incorporate a lot of different styles into our songs like metal, thrash, and grind core.”
The members of the band recently took a seven day tour around Florida in hopes of creating a larger fan base. The boys have said they were very proud to have shared the stage with other talented bands during the tour, such as ‘The Scarlet Farewell’ and ‘King Conquer’.
Now that the mini-tour is over, what’s next to come for the band? “We’re taking some time away from playing shows and concentrating more on writing and recording new music for now.” says Jake Simmons, guitarist. “The new music is going to be a huge step up from our old songs. We’re really looking forward to letting the fans hear it all.”
Faith of the Fallen can be seen next at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 29 at Edgewater Alliance Church. Tickets will be $6 and the band will be playing alongside Take This City, Flowers For Algernon, This Solemn Vow, and Sequencing the Sentence.
