Extreme case of a someone playing matchmaker for their friend.

Me:  "So what do I tell her?"

Friend:  "How about something romantic?"

Me:  "Romantic?"

Friend:  "Yeah, why don't you tell her how you really feel?"

Me:  "How I really feel?  Guy, we're at a grocery store...all I want to know is how much cash back you want from the debit purchase."

Friend:  "Oh....um....tell her twenty is fine."

Me:  ".................You're dangerous, man."
