In a matter of hours, his life could change. His heart could be revitalized or demolished.
The bright shine of rubies red and sapphires blue,
I find beneath the statements of our love;
For the day we rue is that of one’s departure,
Not only of body, but of former dreams;
The departure we cannot comprehend;

If we looked for the guiding star, we had but to
Look at the other, the show of commitment and dreams;
We sought all ‘twas needed, nothing more;
But oh, the day has come, the kindness here, all a
Wall, a mask, a shield of sadness, for both;

On a silent meal, I pray the chance, one last, to cleanse
The heart of her, the one I committed long ago,
My life, heart, soul, and all, nothing hidden from her;
If she looks the eye of mine own, I shall return the best,
Hoping for the final moment to come naught;

If the door she seeks, stop her, I must resist, for
Her, one I respect, as a friend, perchance more;
Atop the threshold she shall pass, regret shall overtake;
I shall have a final, but without any control, removed
From all power I control, e’en if little can be giv’n;

But so, if I control, maintain for full ages,
A love, uncontrollable shall sweep and strike over us;
For so, love shall end of freewill, yet love cannot
Begin, a strength incomparable, a mighty stone;
It begins as a fledgling anew, reincarnated:

Thus shall the love progress, one that shan’t be slain;
Age to age, it shall overcome any and every,
Plowing for the harvesting day of time;
Up shall come an embrace, soon a gifting of lips,
Perhaps more e’en, the loss of youthhood;

Oh the trial I now face, a lovely flower it shall bloom,
Or a cut, leaving my soul to spill and lessen;
Now I must entreat, whether love embraces or slaughters
My soul, I shall journey on, refreshed or shattered,
A rabbit, in touch with nature and one with all;
