This is a poem about every girl's insecurities.
Who is this stranger in the mirror
She who shares my appearance,
But I don't know at all?
Who is this girl, distorted and unpure
She is scrutinized daily,
Taken apart
Analyzed.
A figure in the wind
She does not speak
Does not live
But she affects decisions I make
She knows of her power
And uses it every day.
She follows me wherever I go,
A demon that can not be escaped.
Windows, mirrors, cars... it matters not
She's always there
To make things worse.
Please... Just go away....
Girl in the mirror
