Little Tyler just doesn't understand.
"Mom...Mom?...MOM!" Tyler bellowed as he walked around the house. "Have you seen Mom?" He asked his older sister who was sitting in the Family room texting her BFF.

"Yes! She's in her office, now go away and leave me alone." Rachael replied abruptly. Then looking up she inquired "Why are you dressed like that?"

"I'm going swimming!" Tyler declared as he turned to seek out Mommy's whereabouts.

"I swear for a 4 year old you come up with the weirdest ideas." Rachelle shook her head and returned to her texting.

"Hey Mom I'm ready!" Tyler announced as he trodded into Mom's office.

"Ready for wha..?" Moms voice trailed off as she looked up and discovered Tyler standing before her in his swimming trunks and a beach towel draped around his neck. "You are NOT going swimming. How many times do I have to tell you?" Mom said with a hint of exasperation in her voice.

"But Mom that was yesterday." Tyler chimed. "You said I couldn't go swimming because I didn't have my room cleaned. So I cleaned my room today. And the day before you said I couldn't go swimming because I didn't eat all my vegek-tabuls. But last night I ate everything on my plate even the yucky stuff." He winced.

"You're still not going swimming!"

"Why not?!" Tyler insisted.

Mom pulled back the curtain and pointed toward the snow covered pool in the backyard. "Because it's freezing outside and your little body will be covered with icicles!"

Tyler pondered a moment then replied. "Well... what if I wear my mittens?"

Mom had all she could do to maintain her composure.
