Needed to let my feelings out. Didn't worry about rhyme, rhythm, or technicality.
You took a dip in that septic tank
Knowing that it would sicken me
You danced around in the shit water
Knowing that it would destroy me

After your sewage bath
You ran home to me
After you drank of the scum
You kissed my eyes and apologized

My eyes bled for you
And I held you
The poison covered you
And penetrated my soul

Little more is left of me
Yet you keep prodding away
Popping the boils that you made
And infecting them again

Sweet words issue from your mouth
A future of forgiveness and forgotten pains
Promises of a sacred day
That day would be merely an illusion

You soiled all good in our world
Knowing that it would never be the same
You spit on all that we made together
Knowing that stain would always stay

After all you have done
You ask for it back
After breaking me like no one can
You expect it all to be okay

Almost dead is what I'll always be
Only my love for you keeping me
Promises forsaken and words misunderstood
We'll live together, a trio of misery

You, me and that memory
