You Are the Mighty River of Kosen Rufu

You started as a trickle of water
So far from home
Alone in the mountains with a call in your heart
Graceful streamlets of compassion formed

Guided by a mentor
Down the mountains you came
Your individual streams of determination
Bonding, becoming a fresh river of Kosen Rufu

Your river knew its mission
It had the Soka flow
Flowing forward, never back
Advancing day by day to the sea of peace not so far away

We, the ones who've heard your call are like raindrops
The storms of life placed before you
Embracing us into your loving flow
We accept, joining your river to help it flourish and grow 

Today we flow together
Towards the sea of world peace
Bringing Nam Myoho Renge Kyo to all we meet
Expanding our river making it stronger, wider, vaster

We pay tribute to you
For what began as a lonely trickle of water
formed into the Mighty River of Kosen Rufu
