We have an obligation to our ourselves and our families to grow and change with the times

Today begins movement
Yesterday we celebrated America’s outer improvement
Within our borders remain troubled waters
Within our states remain hatred
Within us are the stories
Within our borders remain disagreement, conflict, and isolation
What within us will be pulled out to bring about a changing nation

As we reflect on our pages of history
May we begin to write a chapter a piece
in an anthology of the time the mountaintop was reached
With the belief that we are a long way away from the true creed
We rally the creative
We rally the ambitious
We rally the free

The challenge ahead for us all is a rough one
With society’s ills we can’t help but feel this outcome
will mean nothing if we don’t move something
and prove that despite what’s “news” we want something
