This is a poem about what I feel about the world we live in.
Hollowness

People just don't think now,
Everyone's just an empty shell.
Read on and I'll tell you how,
They are all going to hell.

Everything is hollow.
The people around me are fake,
They are all wearing masks,
Everyone is a snake.

I want to run from the world,
And sulk in the dark.
All those false smiles,
Have left their mark.

The world is a product,
It is all manufactured.
People just cannot see,
That the world is fractured.

We are all just consumers,
Wasting the money we spend.
It’s just to fit in,
To be part of the trend.

They say that we are all players,
and the world is a stage.
There's no reason for a bad play,
So just disengage.

“Sorry” is said too often,
It now has no meaning.
The day when somebody means it,
I will surely be dreaming.

People slither and slime,
Being far too kind.
I know they are faking it,
I'm sorry please don't, I'm losing my mind.

If you're down on your luck,
And life is treating you bad.
Don't act for other people,
Be miserable and sad.

We are never true to one another,
Nothing is really ever said.
If it gets any worse,
I’d rather be dead.

But the world in which we live,
Is full of misery but yet is content.
In a new world what would we face?
Because I'm sorry there isn't a word here I meant.
