A story of the unexpected happening
11a.m. Monday. A phone conversation between Henry & Sankey


"Yes, my shop at Kettle. The one near the police station."

"When should I come?"

" 2p.m will be just fine. My assistant will be there to receive you. I'm out of town now and will not be back till next week."

"No shaking, I'll be there. But how would I know the shop?"

"It is two-toned. Yellow on top and a red border below the window level. You can't miss it."

"No shaking. I'll be there."


2 p.m. Tuesday.


"Egbon Sankey, it's like I missed my way o!"

"How come?"

"I'm standing at Kettle Bus Stop. But I can't find your shop."

"Haba, which kain yarn be dat? My boy nko is he not there? Can't you see the yellow and red shop?"

" I can only see a red and yellow shop. It's like someone redesigned it. Yellow is now below and red on top. Ehhhh, I can even see the designer sitting nearby and admiring his work."

"Henry, are you okay at all?"

"I've never been better."

"Can I speak with the so-called designer?"

"He's sitting high up there."

"Haba, a storey building?"

"Not exactly. It's a yellow bull dozer."

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeee, mo gbe! Eko o ni baje, is it now my turn?"
