A shy guy finally gets the nerve to ask out his long-time crush, what can go wrong?
I never thought that I would hold you like this. I knew I would feel tingly all over, but strangely it's only my arms. I thought that I would get a warm fuzzy feeling, but this warm feeling isn't fuzzy and it's making it's way down my leg. Your red hair looks even more beautiful in this light, people are trying to pull you from me but I can't let them, I am the only one holding you here, I won't let you slip away. I can hear people screaming, I move the hair out of your face so I can see you better, even now you look more beautiful to me than anyone and anything else. I hear birds in the distance, and it reminds me of a squeaky tire. I still sit here, enjoying the weight of you in my arms, embracing the moment. I feel so happy sitting here, on the cold, frozen street. I lean over without letting you fall and pick up the bag you dropped. I remember how you always liked that bag your father got you for your sixteenth birthday, how you used to hug it to yourself as if it were a lifeline. I hear sirens now, closer they come. I need to get you out of the street but I just don't have the strength anymore. I'm just glad I get to hold you. The sirens are closer now, I need to move you but I can't, my leg is twisted and it won't respond to my wishes. I try to shuffle out of the way of the oncoming sirens but I just don't have the energy, I can feel the last reserves of my strength flowing out of my veins. I can hear people talking now, saying that we've been hurt but I don't understand what they're saying, we're fine, you just said that you would love to go out with me this friday. I can't wait for friday now, its only tuesday yet. I still can't get the sight of your beautiful and exuberant smile when I asked you, saying like a joke that it's about time. I can hear some people coming close, that's weird, everyone was just kind of looking from a distance until now, I never even noticed. Why do they have blue hands? And why do they have cases with them? What are they doing?! Why are they trying to take you from me?! Can't they see that there's nothing wrong with us?!

"Get away! Get away! Leave us alone!"

They pull you from my arms, I reach to get you back and they tie me down, I didn't even know I was standing, how did I get to this point? When did I lay down? Why am I so sleepy? Ouch why did they just poke me with something sharp? Where are you I want you back, back with me, in my arms, I miss you so much already. My eyes are getting tired, so tired, why am I so tired...?

"She's gone, but we need to get him to the hospital fast, that leg isn't going to stop bleeding and he's already lost a lot of blood"

*****Edit Notes****** Thanks to the many reviewers telling me about the numerous punctuation errors, at the time my keyboard batteries were almost dead which is the result of said errors. I left the first paragraph long for the purpose of the entire paragraph being a monologue of his thoughts, as well as the reason why the days are not capitalized, to keep it more informal, after all, why be formal when you're talking/thinking to yourself?
