Yet another scrapbook poem
A prescribed kind of life

Vicodin numbness makes me
float through the day.
Dreamlessly moving
keeping the pain away.

Ambien dreams help me
soar through the night.
Trouble free thoughts
keeping me from fright.

A codeine covered cough let’s me
breathe while I move.
Inhaling and exhaling
coming in and out smooth.

Flexeril muscles that give me
a relaxed state of grace.
All of these drugs
keeping me in place.
