I heard God's voice saying, don't you know that you belong to me?
Don't you know?
I formed you with my very own hands, placed you in your mother's womb;
there you would be safe and warm till time was right for you to come.

Don't you know?
I watched over you as you learned to walk and talk with those around you;
Knowing I had in store a special purpose that you would persue.

Don't you know?
As you grew up in a world of strange surrounding;
Evil entered the hearts of man, hatred was abounding.

Don't you know?
I chose to let you see things that would require you to be strong;
That you would call on me whene'er life seemed so wrong.

Don't you know?
I let you walk away to discover a world of darkness;
It broke my heart to see the things you would come to profess.

Don't you know?
I gave my life, I shed my blood that you would forever live;
And all I ask is that your heart to me, you would give.

Don't you know?
I hear you, be quiet, listen, I'm calling you, it's time that you be free;
Come now, I will wait no longer, for you belong to me.
