This poem is really close to my heart.
I’m living now
And I’m letting go
I’ve made mistakes
And I’ve reaped what I’ve sewn
I can see the light
Although the tunnel’s still black
I’m going to move forward
No time to look back

I know that my life
Has been waiting for me
I’ve wasted much time
But now I can see
It’s not suppose to be easy
The journey is rough
But it’s part of the ride
And I’ve got to be tough

All of the past, and all of the years
Have just been some stones
For which I have stepped
From which I have grown
I will not be shattered
By my plans that have broke
I know my future, and my life
Just cannot be wrote

From here in and out
I’ll experience the day
I can take detours in stride
And I won’t search for blame
I’ll manage the days
And I won’t let the pain
Disrupt my world
Or wash all hope away
