A friend is someone whose memories stay forever and ever.
Oh! I'm a lonely traveler in a desolate highway,
That winds up and up until it’s lost in the Milky Way,
No other person seemed to have ever traveled that way,
Oh! God! Is it me, only me who should travel night and day?

Days passed nights rolled by and nothing ever changed,
My spirit clung in the cracks of the road, half dead,
I was footsore, famishing and the road never seemed to end,
Oh! God! Is it me, only me who should travel without a friend?

Spring bloomed, summer brightened, and winter frosted my way,
My spirit lay cold in the cracks of the snow,
I was freezing numb and the hail never seemed to end,
Oh! God! Is it me, only me who should travel without a friend?

And on one day I saw a shadow on the horizon,
That grew in the sunshine and silhouetted a human ghost,
It took seasons for us to love and understand each other,
Oh! God! Is it he, only he who would travel as a friend?

And then we were singing, laughing and dancing for years,
But one day he said “I should go in the opposite way",
And he walked away and melted into the darkness,
Oh! God! Is it me, only me who should travel without a friend?

My eyes were full of tears and my heart full of grief,
But I felt his footprints scattered all over the way,
I started to walk and I do not feel alone,
For there are his footprints lighting the way ahead.
