A poem for a good friend who went to jail.
Do you sit alone
Day after day?
What do you do?
What do you say?
What do you feel
Night after night?
Do you lie awake
And stare at the light?
Are there bars on your window?
Can you still see the sky?
Can you still see the ground?
Or is your window too high?
When you look out at night
Can you still see the moon?
Be strong, just hold on,
You'll be coming home soon.
