A color poem A fall morning in the mountains of Idaho
Mountain Morning

Morning comes pink and gold.
Sleeping toes touch the cold.
Across the floor light the fire.
Blowing embers of night prior.

Wake the child within her bed.
Hands unfold book last read.
Tossing hair of oh so brown.
Removing any morning frown.

Breakfast is together done.
Bus to school now she's run.
Rising soft and golden yellow.
Quiet moment in sunshine mellow.

Now silver thought starts my day.
Starting now my garden play.
Given the fruit by rosy knees.
Yellow squash, thank you please.
